Restorative Dentistry

The aim of restorative dentistry is to identify the etiology of common dental diseases, develop preventive treatment strategies, and treat these conditions using continuously evolving restorative techniques and materials. The practical application of restorative dentistry not only requires the development of excellent manual skills but also provides an understanding of the disease processes affecting teeth and the properties of the materials available for their restoration.

Clinical procedures performed in the department include composite restorations, amalgam restorations, pulp capping treatments, treatment of fractured teeth, laminate veneer restorations, inlay restorations, vital and non-vital tooth bleaching, fiber post applications, and treatment of dentin hypersensitivity.
